PAPUA, “tabloidnusantara.com ” – Another brutal killing spree conducted by The Papuan Separatist Terrorist Group (KSTP) continues. They shot innocent traditional gold mining workers. This barbaric killing spree took place in Mosomduba Village, Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains, Monday (16/10/2023).
It has been confirmed that the brutal killing was carried out by a terrorist group identified themselves as KSTP Kodap (Defence Area Command) XVI Yahukimo KST. This terrorist group is led by Yotam Bugiangge and resulted in 7 innocent people died in very tragic conditions. They suffered multiple wounds from sharp weapons such as machetes, arrows and gunshots, while dozens of other workers were able to save themselves hiding in the forest around the panning location.
The Cartenz Peace Task Force, after hearing the attack, was quickly rushed to the location and dispatched personnel to evacuate the victims in Kali I Seradala District, Yahukimo Regency, Papua Mountains. A total of seven miners were found dead and 11 other people were evacuated safely.

The rescue and evacuation operation who was led directly by the Chief of Yahukimo Police, Senior Commisioner Adjutant (AKBP) Heru Hidayanto, deploying 42 personnel mostly from the Cartenz Peace Task Force. Amidst the evacuation process, the armed criminal group of KSTP Kodap XVI Yahukimo led by Yotam Bugiangge opened fire at the task force, attacking the rescue mission, yet it did not take long before the authorities were able to overcome the gunfight and evacuate all the victims, all miners were successfully evacuated including seven miners who were brutally killed by the KSTP were also successfully evacuated to Dekai Hospital (17/10/2023).
The 7 victims who died as a result of the brutal attack by the separatist group were identified as Udin, Maun, Ardi, Hendra, Appe and Siger, all of whom came from South Sulawesi. While the 11 residents who survived the attack and were successfully evacuated were Amiman (33 years old) from Talaud, Abdul Aziz alias Nene (52) from Palopo, Erwin Sengkeng (36) from Dekai, Abdul Rahmansyah alias Rahsya (31) from Maros, Abdul Samad (53) from Paro, Renaldi (28) from Bugis, Hermudin (42) from Palopo, Bebeng (41) from Toraja, Markus Tumpia (35) from Mallo, Ahmad Saleh Ohe (21) from Sentani, and Holden (48) from Talaud.
Head of the Cartenz Peace Task Force which is a TNI-Police joint force, Police Senior Commisioner (Kombes) Faiza Ramadhani, said that the attack which resulted in the deaths of 7 civilians carried out by the Papuan separatist group on Monday was the worst incident since July 2022. “They sadistically abused the victims cruelly and inhumanely,” he added.

He further explained that 11 survivors were currently being evacuated to the Yakuhimo Police Station for further investigation. “Those who were rescued have been evacuated to the Yahukimo Police for further investigation,” said Faizal in a written statement on Tuesday.
The attack carried out by the separatist group was tailored by the separatist warlord Egianus Kogoya. Besides killing seven traditional gold miners, the separatist group also set fire to three excavators, two trucks and the gold panning camp area. Faizal assured that his men would investigate thoroughly and arrest the perpetrators. “We will chase them and we will enforce the law against KSTP Egianus Kogoya,” he said.
According to Papua Police Chief Inspector General Mathius D Fakhiri, he suspected that the motive for the KSTP’s ruthless attack on civilians this time was targeting panhandlers’ food stocks and their panning to maintain food supply and fund the separatist terrorist group.
