Denpasar, “TABLOIDNUSANTARA.COM” – “Welcome and enjoy serving at Kodam IX/Udayana to Colonel Inf Febriel B. Sikumbang, S.H., M.M., along with his wife as Danrem 161/Wira Sakti and Head of Persit Kartika Chandra Kirana Koorcab Rem 161 PD IX/Udayana”.
This was conveyed by the Regional Military Commander (Pangdam) IX/Udayana General Major TNI Sonny Aprianto, S.E., M.M., during the handover of duties, authority and position responsibilities as well as the corps report tradition for the Danrem 161/Wira Sakti at the Udayana Hall of Makodam IX/Udayana, Denpasar, on Tuesday (31/1/2023).
The Pangdam further stated that the territorial area of Korem 161/Wira Sakti is East Nusa Tenggara Province which has the responsibility to guide 14 Kodim and carry out Territorial Development, are required to be able to realize regional resilience in their ranks and be able to carry out three methods of Territorial Development and five territorial capabilities.
In addition, the Korem 161/WS area directly shares land borders with the Democratic Republic of Timor Leste (RDTL) and has 4 outer islands namely Batek Island, Mengudu Island, Dana Sabu Island and Dana Rote Island. So that the Danrem 161/WS as Dankolakops of the RI-RDTL Border Security Task Force and the Outer Islands Security Task Force have a very strategic role.
Therefore, the Pangdam hopes that the existence of the Korem 161/WS and its staff will be able to maintain the stability of the security of the area that is their responsibility, and must always support the Regional Government in order to realize the acceleration of regional development in an effort to overcome people’s difficulties.
“Never hesitate to continue and increase the positive things that have been initiated by previous officials. Immediately learn the tasks, find new breakthroughs and ideas and provide a fresher positive color for the unit to improve performance as a regional command,” closed the Pangdam.
